"I am shocked that with all the positive reviews, which lead me to contact this agent, that I have had such an awful experience. My husband and I already had State Farm in Washington when we moved to Colorado. We assumed the transition would be fairly easy since I had done it before, moving from Texas to Washington. It was not! I dealt with Kyra Johnson who showed a lack of professionalism when it came to switching over the policies from the start. I was called multiple times the first day to be asked different questions and it was clear from those phone calls that she was disorganized. After we were received our renter’s insurance quote we were told that their office was having trouble pulling our information for the car insurance quotes, after I responded I was asked to do the job of the agent and get in contact with our previous agent for them. Mind you, I had already provided all our policy information, including policy numbers. I went ahead and connected our previous agent with Kyra. Finally, we were given quotes for our car insurance. After some questions about the higher rates and what we could do to do we settled on the drive safe and save discount and were told beacons would be mailed to us. I gave the go ahead to transfer the policies on 6/24. I had first contacted this office before 6/14. I heard nothing back and had to follow up on 6/27. Kyra claimed she never received the first email, even though she responded to the thread the first email was sent on. Our policies were “switched over” after that, though we have still yet to receive any physical insurance cards. I noticed a few weeks later that we were still be charged for the old policies, so I contacted our old agent, who has always been very competent and quick to respond. She told me our old policies had not been cancelled because this new office had not communicated with them on the cancellation and when she reached out to them they COULD NOT provide her with the date of when the new policies went into affect. I had to send over a screenshot of my temporary cards to provide her with that information. We received the Drive Safe & Save beacons in the mail from the Colorado office and set them up in our app. A month later I received our second bill from this office and noticed that it was $20 more than the rate that was quoted to us and our previous bill. When I inquired into why this was, we were told, by a different person, Aubri, that our old policies were still active and therefore the discount was attached to those policies. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO TO GET THIS DONE? Now we are paying more than what we were told because of this competence and it still has yet to be resolved. This has been a nightmare and we have no idea why this has been so difficult. I have attached all the proof of what I have written here. Steer clear of this agency if you are coming from out-of-state, it’s not worth the hassle."

"Heather, Thank you for your grace while I researched your account today. In looking over the emails between you and Kyra I found that there was consistent communication. However, I do believe there might have been a slight misunderstanding regarding when to start the policies, which was when you reiterated that the policies could begin as of the date you had originally given the go ahead. For that, I apologize and would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention as we will use this as an opportunity to train our team members moving forward. Kyra is an amazing asset to our sales team and truly does best by our clients. At the time that this state-to-state transaction was completed, Kyra was fairly new to our office and had not done many state-to-state transfers. Since then, she’s exceled in our office and our insureds truly enjoy working with her. We hope moving forward you will see this as well. It appears that there was a misunderstanding with how to transfer the autos. The moment we realized we could not get access to your auto policies; we should have called your current agent’s office in Washington to get a copy of your policies. I do apologize for this and have spoken with Kyra about this process. Regarding the policies that are still showing active in Washington, unfortunately we cannot cancel those. Just like we can see your policies in WA, your prior agent’s office can also see the new policies here in Colorado as soon as they are written and going through underwriting and would be able to cancel the policies effective 6/28/24 – with that, I apologize for the frustrations in having the duplicate policies and can confirm that as of yesterday, 8/13/24, Gwen sent in a request to cancel the policies in WA. However, to be clear, that request could have been sent in when she saw the effective date of the new policies as that is confirmation that we submitted the applications. At the same time, I can understand why Gwen might have held off on cancelling your prior policies and can appreciate that she wanted to make sure the policies here in Colorado had been written. Regarding the ID cards, it is my understanding that you were provided with temporary ID cards, correct? Unfortunately, the hard copy policies/ID cards are mailed directly from our regional office which is why we provide the temp ID cards in the meantime as we have seen that it can take some time to receive the policies in the mail. We have requested that the policies be mailed out immediately, however, for peace of mind, I’d like to confirm that your temporary ID cards work just as the hard copy you receive in the mail. Finally, regarding the Drive Safe and Save, you should be able to get that set up on the 2016 now since you have the beacon, and the prior policies are being cancelled. Again, we requested that they backdate the discount to the inception of the policy and are waiting on confirmation if they will be able to as underwriting makes that final call. Heather, we apologize and take ownership in the misunderstandings it appears we might have had. We would like to prove and show the amazing customer service that we provide here at Jamie Hill State Farm. We understand that you are currently going through surgery, but Jamie would love the opportunity to have you come in to the office to have a sit-down meeting to review your policies and meet with you. Please let me know when a good time would be, and I will get that scheduled right away. In the meantime, if you need absolutely anything, you have my email. Please feel free to reach out with any questions you might have moving forward. Thank you for allowing us to research this for you and hope we can turn this experience around for you."

"Today beau was so great today! He help my husband and I cancel from Bristol west. He was amazing on the phone and was very professional even after Bristol west hung up on us and then proceeded to have an attitude once canceling was brought up. I appreciate him doing the talking and handling of the situation as I wouldn’t have been able to after hearing their horrible customer service. I love state farm as I was a past customer but Beau made it so easy to come back and want to be a life long customer. ☺️ THANK YOU BEAU!"

"Beau was extremely helpful. He explained everything very well. I know it is his job to upsell what he can, but at no time did I feel pressured to purchase anything. He is not your "typical" insurance salesman. I was incredibly pleased with the process, from getting a quote online, talking to him on the phone, and receiving the necessary documents in my email.
